The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Oklahoma, had receipts of 1,810 head of cattle selling compared to 781 head a week ago and 967 head a year ago, according to the USDA to Oklahoma Department of Ag Market News, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Compared to a week ago, the steer and heifer calves were selling $2 to $4 higher. The demand was good for all classes. The overall quality was average to attractiwith many lots of unweaned and short to weaned calves on hand and these sold to good demand.

The supply included 100% feeder cattle with 55% steers, 0% dairy steers, 40% heifers and 5% bulls. The feeder cattle supply weighing over 600 pounds was 30%.
