The Ericson Livestock Auction Market, Ericson, Nebraska, reported receipts of 3,170 head on Jan. 10, compared to 3,905 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Kearney, Nebraska.

This was the first reported feeder sale in several weeks and therefore a trend was not applicable. Most of the run consisted of longtime weaned, ranched-raised calves with most displaying light to medium flesh. The demand was good to very good for lightweight steers and heifers with light demand for heavier weight feeders. The feeder supply included 57% steers and 43% was heifers. Nearly 65% of the run weighed more than 600 pounds.
