The Dunlap, Iowa, feeder cattle auction reported 1,260 head of cattle selling May 10, compared to April 26, according to the USDA-Iowa Department of Ag Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.

This was a special calf and yearling sale. The trades were active today. There is no comparison, as there wasn’t a sale last week. Receipts included 54 percent steer calves, 45 percent were heifer calves, 1 percent were bulls. The cattle weighing over 600 pounds were 64 percent and 39 percent were steers and 25 percent were heifers.
