Compared to last week, cash bids for corn, sorghum, soybeans and wheat were up according to USDA reported prices, Oct. 6.

For the week ending Sept. 24, a increase of 37,000 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while an increase of 370,500 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed a increase of 56,755 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an increase of 99,404 metric tons.

Ethanol production for the week ending Sept. 25, reported a decrease at 881,000 barrels a day.

Wheat was up 10 cents.  Corn was up 5 1/2 to 8 1/2 cents.  Sorghum was up 5 1/2 cents.  Soybeans were up 22 1/2 to 27 1/2 cents.

In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $5.92 3/4.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $5.39 1/4 to $5.49 1/4, up 10 cents; Minneapolis, $6.29 1/4 to $6.34 1/4, up 10 cents; Portland, $5.45 to $6, unchanged to up 10 cents; St. Louis, $6.12 3/4 to $6.22 3/4, up 8 1/2 cents.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $3.65, up 10 1/2 to 5 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $3.54 to $3.84 1/4, up 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $3.69 to $4 1/4, up 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 cents; Omaha, $3.43 to $3.53, up 6 1/2 cents.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $10.40 to $10.44, up 22 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $9.94 to $10.20, up 12 1/4 to 23 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $10.90 to $10.33, up 12 1/4 to 22 1/2 cents; central Illinois processors, $10.39 to $10.49, up 27 1/2 to 22 1/2 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices Oct. 6, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $6.19 1/4 to $6.29 1/4, up 10 cents; 12% protein, $6.64 1/4 to $6.74 1/4, up 10 cents; 13% protein, $6.74 1/4 to $6.84 1/4, up 10 cents; 14% protein, $6.74 1/4 to $6.84 1/4, up 10 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
