Compared to last week, cash bids for were higher for corn, soybeans, wheat and sorghum, according to USDA reported prices, July 20.

For the week ending July 15, a decrease of 1,830 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while a decrease of 57,195 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed an increase of 62,807 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported a decrease of 10,724 metric tons.

Ethanol production for the week ending July 9, had a slight decrease at 1,041,000 barrels a day.

Wheat was up 8 cents to unchanged. Corn was up 15 3/4 cents. Sorghum was up 15 3/4 cents. Soybeans were up 15 1/2 cents.

In the futures close, Kansas City September wheat was $6.60 1/4.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $6.80 1/4 to $6.97 1/4, up 8 cents; Minneapolis, $7.55 1/4 to $7.60 1/4, up 8 cents; Portland, $7.70 to $8, unchanged; St. Louis, $6.86 1/2, up 2 3/4 cents.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $6.46 3/4 to $6.61 3/4, up 15 3/4 to 20 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $6.50 3/4 to $6.56 3/4, up 13 3/4 to 15 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, $6.63 4/4 to $6.77 3/4, up 15 3/4 to 21 3/4 cents; Omaha, $6.24 3/4 to $6.37 3/4, up 13 3/4 cents.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $14.93 1/2 to $14.98 1/2, up 15 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $14.28 1/2 to $14.29 1/2, up 15 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $14.56 1/2 to $14.63 1/2, up 14 1/2 to 13 1/2 cents; central Illinois processors, $14.73 1/2 to $15.08 1/2, up 15 1/2 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices July 20, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $7.39 1/4 to $7.49 1/4, up 8 cents; 12% protein, $8.05 1/4 to $8.15 1/4, up 8 cent; 13% protein, $8.45 1/4 to $8.55 1/4, up 8 cents; 14% protein, $7.45 1/4 to $8.55 1/4, up 8 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
