Tri-State Writers' Association will present "A Writer's Day," Saturday, Aug. 5, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., at the Wichita Center for the Arts, 9112 East Central.

Southern and central Kansas authors of all ages, backgrounds and media interests are encouraged to share ideas one-on-one with professional writers and to bring works-in-progress for reading and evaluation.

The full day of speakers includes novelists Gaylord Dold, Sharon Eperson, Jackson Webb, Sarah St. Peter, Don Coldsmith and Margaret Dawe. Their subjects are designed for writers who intend to publish and also for those interested in learning more about the craft.

Cost is $55. For information and reservations, call 316-262-3766. Registrations also will be taken Aug. 5.

The program is sponsored by the Lifelong Learning Foundation.
