The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, OK, reported receipts of 1,539 head of cattle June 30, compared with 1,551 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, OK.

Feeder steers were steady to $1 higher. Feeder heifers were steady to $3 higher. Steer calves were $2 to $6 higher. Heifer calves were $1 to $3 higher.

Demand was very good for all classes. Fill was average. Quality was average.

Heifers comprised 44% of the feeder and calf supply. Slaughter cows and bulls were $1 lower. A total of 313 cows and bulls sold, with 62% going to packers.

Slaughter cows: Boners, 80 to 85% lean, 965 to 1680 lbs., 41.00 to 44.00; high dressing, 45.50 to 47.00; low dressing, 39.50 to 40.50. Lean, 85 to 90%, 735 to 1580 lbs., 39.50 to 42.75; high dressing, 43.25 to 47.00; low dressing, 35.00 to 38.50.

Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 to 2, 1480 to 1970 lbs., 51.50 to 53.50; high dressing, 55.50 to 59.50; low dressing, 45.00 to 50.50.

Replacement cows: Pre-tested for Bangs, pregnancy and age, medium and large frame 1, 4 to 6 years old, 1200 to 1225 lbs., 5 months bred, high quality, blacks, 685.00 to 740.00; 4 to 6 years old, 1175 to 1225 lbs., 3 to 6 months bred, average quality, 580.00 to 650.00.

Cow-calf pairs: Medium and large frame 1,3 to 6 years old, 925 to 1100 lbs., with 200- to 275-lb. calf, average quality, 890.00 to 900.00.
