The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, OK, May 18, reported receipts of 6,484 head, compared to 5,150 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, OK.

Feeder steers 750 pounds and heavier were steady to $1 higher, while lighter weights were $1 lower. Feeder heifers traded steady to $2 higher. Stocker cattle and calves were steady to $2 higher, in a limited test. Demand was good for all classes. Quality ranged from plain to average, with the end attractive. Fill was average, with few full. The supply included 62% steers and 37% heifers, with 79% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were steady. Slaughter bulls were $1 lower. A total of 917 cows and bulls sold, with 49% sent to packers.
