The Great American Wild West Show, featuring the color and pageantry of the Old West, comes thundering into Denver for the fourth consecutive year, with two performances in the National Western Events Center, Jan. 13 and 14, at 4 p.m.
Tickets for the shows are $11 and include grounds admission to the livestock events and exhibits for the day.
Patterned after the great Buffalo Bill shows of yesteryear, the Wild West Show features nonstop action, including a six-horse stagecoach holdup, world champion trick roper J. W. Stoker, dance hall girls and a moving tribute to the American Indian.
A special salute to Buffalo Bill is presented by horseman and stunt rider Max Reynolds, who played Buffalo Bill in the movie "Buffalo Girls." The cast of Western performers offers family entertainment at its best, with shows not seen in Denver in many decades
The shows are sponsored by Dodge Trucks.
