South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, reported receipts of 530 head of cattle Sept. 13, compared with 900 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, SD.

The Sept. 6 sale was not reported, so no trend comparison is available. Steers made up 83% and heifers 17% of the feeder run. The supply included 81% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 686 lbs., 89.90; 709 lbs., 89.47; 779 lbs., 84.30; 841 lbs., 81.70; 884 lbs., 80.97; 931 lbs., 78.56; 957 lbs., 78.80; 1031 lbs., 66.55; 1084 lbs., 68.75; 1185 lbs., 65.52. Large frame 2, 850 lbs., 75.75. Holsteins, large frame 2, 522 lbs., 82.00; 580 lbs., 79.00; 777 lbs., 73.50; 960 lbs., 68.30; 1015 lbs., 64.79; 1052 lbs., 66.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 285 lbs., 115.00; 369 lbs., 108.00; 463 lbs., 91.18; 668 lbs., 82.53; 928 lbs., 74.69; 1126 lbs., 66.60.

Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 337 lbs., calves, 119.00; 434 lbs., calves, 109.00.
