The Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, OK, reported receipts totaling 1,868 head June 18, compared to 2,440 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, OK.

Trade opened slow and closed fairly active. Steers and heifers were steady. Demand was good, on the better classes. Quality ranged from plain to attractive. Conditions were thin to fleshy. Heifers comprised 54% of feeders and calves, steers 37% and bulls 9%, with 19% of the supply over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls traded steady. Packer demand was good. Cows and bulls were nearly 20% of supply.
