The Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, OK, reported receipts of 2,360 head of cattle July 24, compared with 1,661 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, OK.

Trade was active. Steers and heifers under 500 pounds were $2 to $4 higher; over 500 pounds, steady. Demand was good on most classes. Quality was better than last week overall. Condition was average. Heifers comprised 45% of the feeder and calf supply. Slaughter cows and bulls were firm. Packer demand was good. Cows and bulls were near 12% of the supply.
