The Texas Cattle Feeders Association (TCFA), during its 2001 annual convention, in Dallas, named the officers and directors who will lead the group for the coming year.

Paul F. Engler, Amarillo, is chaimman of the board; R. Scott Keeling, Hereford, chairman-elect; and Ernie A. Morales, Devine, vice chairman.

Cattle feeders elected to one-year terms of the board of directors are Tommy Bell, Dalhart; Paul F. Engler, Amarillo; Byron N. Gossett, Amarillo; Rex McCloy, Morse; Dan McWhorter, Hereford; and John Rakestraw, Boulder, CO.

Elected to two-year terms are H.P. "Bo" Brown, Lubbock; R. Scott Keeling, Hereford; Perry Kirkland, Vega; Bill Kruse, Dalhart; Bill Robertson, Amarillo; and Wm. H. "Bill" Shaw, San Angelo.

Directors chosen for three-year terms are James D. "Jay" Gray, Gonzales; Scott Hall, Hereford; James W. Henderson, Childress; Michael Kitten, Hereford; Ernie A. Morales, Devine; and Brad Stout, Amarillo. In addition, the two immediate past chairmen serve as members of the board. They are Jim B. Waterfield, Canadian, and Paul H. Hitch, Guymon, OK.

TCFA represents cattle feeders in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, an area that produces 30% of the nation's fed beef.
