The Syracuse Commission Co., Syracuse, KS, reported receipts of 949 headof cattle Feb. 25, compared to 1,453 head last week and 2,473 head last year, according to the Federal-State USDA Market News Service, Dodge City, KS.

Compared with last week, feeder steers 300 to 900 pounds, on very light supplies, were not tested. Feeder heifers 300 to 700 pounds were steady to $4 lower; 700 to 800 pounds, not tested. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Trade was active. Demand was good.
