CHICAGO (B)--The growing resistance to genetically modified products in Europe, combined with a month-long climb in soyoil prices, has resulted in stepped-up difficulty in selling soyoil in Europe compared with competitive vegetable oils that are still available GMO free.

Analysts said that although European resistance to GMO soyoil was nothing new, some vegetable oil buyers were balking at the recent run-up in soyoil prices, instead turning to non-GMO rapeseed, palm and sunseed oil.
