The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending April 22 showed receipts of 6,200 feeder lambs and 600 slaughter goats, according to the USDA Market News Service, San Angelo, Texas.

Compared to last week, feeder lambs were mostly steady, with a few $9 higher. Slaughter goats were steady. Trading and demand were moderate.

Feeder lambs: Texas, 6200 head, Medium and large frame 1 and 2, load 75 lbs., 144.00; 75 to 95 lbs., 125.00 to 135.00 some with .40 to .50 slides.

Slaughter meat goats: Kids, 600 head, Selection 1, 40 to 80 lbs., 135.00 to 140.00. Selection 2, 40 to 80 lbs., 132.00 to 137.00.s
