The Sioux Falls sheep auction March 29 reported receipts of 300 head, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, SD.

Compared with last week, slaughter lambs were steady. Shorn slaughter ewes were steady. Feeder lambs were scarce. Supplies included nearly 56% slaughter lambs, about 40% slaughter ewes and the balance mostly feeder lambs.

Slaughter lambs: Choice, end Prime, 2 and 3, shorn, No. 1 and 2 pelts, 121 to 128 lbs., 80.00 to 82.00; 135 lbs., 74.00. Wooled, Choice, end Prime, 2 and 3, 114 lbs., 83.75; 130 to 138 lbs., 75.50 to 78.00; 144 lbs., 74.00.

Shorn slaughter ewes: Utility and Good, 1 and 2, 36.00 to 40.00. Cull 1, 25.00 to 34.00.

Feeder lambs: Medium and Large 1 and 2, scarce.
