The Kansas Limousin Breeders recently announced the "Show a Limousin, Win a Limousin" program for 4-H and FFA exhibitors of Limousin cattle has been authorized to proceed.

This will be on a voluntary basis by each county or district Extension unit, says Gary Gerhard, assistant Extension director and state program leader. There is no endorsement of the Limousin breed by K-State Research and Extension or by 4-H expressed or implied.

Each Kansas county has been sent a flyer that the Limousin exhibitors in 4-H and FFA need to fill out and have signed to be in the running for the Limousin heifer or steer (winner's preference). Please contact the county Extension agent for information about the "Show a Limousin, Win a Limousin" program. Names must be received by Sept. 10. The drawing will be Sept. 15, at the Kansas State Fair Limousin Show.
