The Sioux Falls sheep auction, Sioux Falls, S.D., reported estimated receipts of 600 head March 22, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to last week, slaughter lambs were steady on a thin test. Slaughter ewes were $2 to $3 lower. Feeder lambs were scarce. Supplies were nearly 23% slaughter lambs with the balance mostly slaughter ewes.

Slaughter lambs: Wooled, Choice end Prime 2 and 3, 121 to 132 lbs., 92.75 to 96.00; 141 to 156 lbs., 87.50 to 89.50. Shorn, Choice end Prime 2 and 3, No 1 and 2 pelts scarce.

Slaughter ewes: Utility and Good 2 and 3, 32.00 to 36.50, few high dressing to 42.00. Cull 1 and 2, 25.00 to 31.50.

Feeder lambs: Medium and large frame 1 and 2, few 61 lbs., 116.00; few 100 lbs., 100.50.
