Estimated receipts at the Pratt Livestock, Inc., feeder cattle auction, Pratt, KS, as of 3:00 p.m. May 11, 2000 totaled 9,200 head, according to the Federal-State USDA Market News Service, Dodge City, KS.

Compared with last week, there were not enough 300- to 600-pound feeder steers or heifers sold for an adequate market test as of 3:00 p.m. Feeder steers 750 to 1000 pounds were $1 to $2 higher on early sales. Feeder heifers 600 to 950 pounds were steady to $1 higher.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 23 head, 696 lbs., 87.50; 79 head, 733 lbs., 89.35; 750 to 800 lbs., 82.00 to 86.25; 800 to 850 lbs., 79.75 to 84.75; 850 to 900 lbs., 77.00 to 82.00; 900 to 950 lbs., 74.50 to 77.60; 950 to 1000 lbs., 73.85 to 74.10.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 600 to 650 lbs., 85.00 to 89.50; 650 to 700 lbs., 84.00 to 89.00; 700 to 750 lbs., 79.00 to 83.75; 750 to 800 lbs., 77.00 to 81.60; 800 to 850 lbs., 74.35 to 78.25; 850 to 900 lbs., 74.00 to 76.75; 23 head, 902 lbs., 73.75.
