Pratt Livestock, Inc., Pratt, KS, reported estimated receipts of 4,500 head of cattle Aug. 25, according to the Federal-State USDA Market News Service, Dodge City, KS.

Compared with last week, there were not enough 300- to 600-pound steers and heifers sold for a market test. Feeder steers 600 to 950 pounds were mostly steady, instances of $1 lower. Feeder heifers 600 to 750 pounds were steady to $1 higher; 750 to 850 pounds, $2 lower; 850 to 900 pounds, steady.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 68 head, 647 lbs., 93.25; 650 to 700 lbs., 85.00 to 90.50; 700 to 750 lbs., 85.00 to 89.85; 750 to 800 lbs., 83.25 to 88.25; 800 to 850 lbs., 81.75 to 86.75; 850 to 900 lbs., 80.60 to 84.00; 900 to 950 lbs., 76.60 to 79.25.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 600 to 650 lbs., 84.50 to 88.25; 650 to 700 lbs., 83.00 to 88.00; 700 to 750 lbs., 83.25 to 88.25; 750 to 800 lbs., 76.00 to 81.00; 800 to 850 lbs., 77.75 to 80.50; 32 head, 870 lbs., 77.25.
