MANILA (B)--The Philippine Association of Feed Millers Inc (PAFMI) purchased 25,000 tonnes of corn from China and 37,000 tonnes of soybean meal and soft red winter wheat from the United States May 16, an official of PAFMI said May 18. PAFMI groups 18 of the country's biggest poultry and livestock raisers.

The official said Bramhall PT Ltd was awarded the supply of corn during a tender May 15 while Bunge bagged the contract for the supply of soybean meal and SRW wheat.

She declined to reveal the price at which the commodities were purchased.

She said the soybean meal and wheat is expected to arrive by July 15 while the Chinese corn should be delivered before June 15.
