Wheat stocks Dec. 1, 2000, totaled 122.7 million bushels, down 11% from last year, according to the Oklahoma Agricultural Statistics Service.

Wheat stored in off-farm locations comprised 94% of the total stocks.

Sorghum stocks stored in off-farm locations, at 8 million bushels, were up 12% from Dec. 1, 1999.

Off-farm barley stocks were down 38% from Dec. 1, 1999.

Oats stored in commercial facilities were down 66% from last year.

Off-farm corn stocks decreased 17% from a year ago.

This report was based on nearly 2,000 reports from Oklahoma farmers, plus approximately 300 commercial facilities.
