No sales were reported in Texas Panhandle and western Oklahoma feedlots Dec. 28, compared with none last week and 56,200 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Amarillo, TX.

Trade was at a standstill. Slaughter steers and heifers were not tested. Feedlots reported light inquiry from buyers. For the week to date, 32,900 head were confirmed which were formulated cattle to be shipped this week.

The last established market was Thursday, Dec. 23, at $68 to $68.50 per cwt.

A few packer bids Tuesday, Dec. 28, were $66 to $67 per cwt. Asking prices were $69 to $70 per cwt.
