The Nebraska Corn Board will meet Sept. 13, at the Southern Power District Office, 4550 West Husker Highway, in Grand Island.

The board will conduct regular board business, hear first-time funding requests, discuss the Corn Harvest Tour and hear committee updates, as well as a report on the Governor's Mission to Brazil.

The meeting begins at 3 p.m. It is open to the public. A copy of the agenda is available by writing the Nebraska Corn Board, PO Box 95107, Lincoln, NE 68509-5107, or by calling (402) 471-2676 or (800) NECORN1 (632-6761).

The nine-member corn board collects and disburses the funds generated by the corn checkoff program. Funds are invested in programs of market development, promotion, research and education.
