No other state fair across the nation this year has exceeded the number of Angus cattle exhibited at the 2000 Missouri State Fair Angus Show, held in Sedalia.

Jack Ward, Lagrange, IN, evaluated the 304 entries, including 220 females and 84 bulls.

MCC Goldberg 873 walked away with grand champion bull honors. Kissee & Wallace Cattle Company, Mount Vernon, exhibited the September, 1998, son of Sitz Traveler 043. He was first selected as senior champion bull.

SC New Trend 4100 H119 was named reserve grand champion bull. LF New Trend 4100 sired the February, 1998, bull. Summitcrest Farms, Summitville, OH, and Paul Meier, Jackson, own the bull that was named reserve senior champion bull earlier that day.

Grand champion female honors were awarded to Jacs Maggie 8325. The December, 1998, daughter of Krugerrand Merger 34 was first named senior champion female. She was shown by JAC's Ranch, Bentonville, AR.

Mallory Trosper, Hamilton, led Corks Edwards Euinces to reserve grand champion female honors. The May, 1999, daughter of Sedgwicks Rebar was first chosen as intermediate champion female.
