The McAlester Union Stockyards, McAlester, OK, reported receipts of 2,050 head July 22, compared to 1,800 last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, OK.

Compared to last week, stocker and feeder cattle were steady. There was a strong attendance of buyers. Trade was active on all classes. Quality was plain to average. Cattle were in thin to medium flesh. The receipts were comprised of 48% steers, 44% heifers, with 21% of all feeder cattle weighing over 600 pounds.
