The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 2,700 head April 2, compared to 2,200 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Neb.

Compared to two weeks ago, feeder steers and heifers trended fully steady to $4 higher. Demand was exceptional for most offerings, especially for steers and heifers weighing either side of 600 pounds. Steers were comprised of 54%, heifers 46%, with 73% weighing over 600 pounds.
