The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., March 5, reported receipts of 2,000 head, compared to 3,100 head last week and 2,800 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Neb.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $1 higher. Steers accounted for 65% and heifers 35% of the offering, with 85% weighing over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 481 lbs., 115.00; 15 head, 509 lbs., 118.00; 550 to 591 lbs., 109.00 to 115.00 (114.18); 45 head, 619 lbs., 109.00; 652 to 690 lbs., 95.75 to 100.75 (99.03); 704 to 724 lbs., 94.75 to 97.25 (95.66); 764 to 795 lbs., 87.50 to 93.00 (91.62); 803 to 843 lbs., 87.50 to 90.00 (89.38); 850 to 855 lbs., 87.50 to 88.25 (88.17). Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 8 head, 707 lbs., 92.00; 10 head, 765 lbs., 86.75. Large frame 1, 62 head, 889 lbs., 83.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 10 head, 544 lbs., 106.00; 572 to 596 lbs., 95.00 to 97.50 (96.41); 52 head, 550 lbs., 105.00 fancy; 602 to 626 lbs., 97.00 to 99.50 (98.12); 669 to 696 lbs., 89.75 to 92.50 (90.24); 17 head, 698 lbs., 95.50 fancy; 702 to 740 lbs., 87.00 to 90.00 (88.87); 838 to 843 lbs., 82.00 to 82.50 (82.42).
