There were no confirmed sales in Kansas feedlots Aug. 8, compared to no sales last week or last year, according to the uSDA Market News Service, Dodge City, KS.

Trade was quiet. No sales slaughter steers or heifers were confirmed. Inquiry was moderate. Demand was light.

Sales were confirmed for the week to date on 29,400 head, all previously contracted or formulated cattle.

Asking prices were $65 to $67 per cwt. Bids were $62 to $63 per cwt.

The last sales were Thursday, Aug. 3, at mostly $64 per cwt.
