Always a competitive segment of the National Junior Limousin Show and Congress, the steer competition proved to be a popular contest again this year, with 38 total head exhibited.

Bub Miller, of Springfield, MO, sorted the three prospect steers and 35 progress steers, in Louisville, KY.

Lee Roy Lawrence, Anton, TX, had the champion prospect steer, with a 650-pound purebred son of DVFC Cookie Monster.

In the progress steer show, Morgan Ratliff, Westphalia, KS, emerged as the champion, with her 1, 248-pound purebred son of Wulf's Guardian.

Jennifer Olson, Russell, KS, led out the reserve progress steer, with her 1,244-pound halfblood son of Trademark.

Cassie Johnson, Cushing, IA, won Class 3, with her 1,136-pound purebred son of Wulf's Guardian.

Robyn Wulf, Morris, MN, won Class 4, with her 1,160-pound purebred son of GALI Polled Hanna 800K.

Nicole Lindsey, Spirit Lake, IA, won Class 6, with her 1,324-pound three-quarters blood son of HC Dynasty 730.
