JC Livestock, Inc., Junction City, KS, reported receipts of 1,282 head of cattle Feb. 19, compared with 3,711 head last week and 989 head last year, according to the Federal-State USDA Market News Service, Dodge City, KS.

Compared to last week, feeder steers 450 to 650 pounds were steady to weak, on a light supply; 650 to 800 pounds, $2 lower; 800 to 900 pounds, $1 lower. Feeder heifers had to few of any class for market test. Slaughter cows were $1 to $2 higher. Trade was active. Demand was good. Receipts included 54% 600 pounds and over, 21% 600 pounds and under, 16% bred cows, 6% cow-calf pairs and 4% slaughter cows and bulls. Feeder supply included 73% steers and 27% heifers.
