LONDON (B)--The International Grains Council forecast the 2000-01 world wheat crop Jan. 20 at 586.3 million tonnes, 3.1 million tonnes higher than its estimate for 1999-2000 which it revised up by 1.4 million tonnes to 583.2 million tonnes. The IGC projected wheat output for 2000-01 will rise in Europe, Russia, the Middle East and North Africa, and will fall in North America, Kazakhstan, China, Argentina and Australia.
