Nine directors were elected to the 27-member International Brangus Breeders Association (IBBA) board, at the organization's general membership meeting held during the IBBA annual convention, in Houston. TX.

The new directors began their term at the annual IBBA board meeting.

Seven electoral areas elected board members that were presented to the general membership during the annual meeting. IBBA officers were then nominated and voted on by the newly elected board of directors.

Directors elected to their first three-year term were Michael Jones, Clovis, NM and Darrel Law, Lafayette, TN. Dennie Hansard, Shafter, CA was elected to fill a vacant seat. Elected to a second term were Tommy Cashion, Woodbury, GA; John Moody, Claremore, OK; Steve Densmore, Normangee, TX; Keith Drews, Marlin, TX; John Polinskey Jr., Fort Smith, AR; Dr. Gene "Woody" Ray, Killeen, TX; and Gary Urban, Mora, MO.

Current members' terms expiring in 2001 are Dr. Jim Anderson, Brandon, MS; Joe Tusa, Houston, TX; Chris Hardee, Chiefland, FL; Frank Howeth, Weatherford, TX; Joe Paul Lack Jr., Hatch, NM; Zeb Morris, Charlotte, NC; Phil Pratz, Mooreland, OK; Matt Syler, Burton, TX; and Don Thomas, Madison, MO.

Those with expiring terms in 2002 include: Eddie Blazek, Conroe, TX; Sherrill Dannheim, Sonora, TX; Stanley Dotson, Enid, OK; Dwight Furches, West Jefferson, NC; Donnie Robertson, Normangee, TX; Tommie Rogers, Broussard, LA; Dr. Bill Sternenberg, Montgomery, AL; and Vernon Suhn, Eureka, KS.
