The Goldthwaite sheep and goat auction reported receipts of 3,813 head March 10, compared to 4,155 head last week and 4,658 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Amarillo, TX.

Compared to last week, new crop feeder lambs were $2 to $3 higher. Stock ewes were steady. Slaughter lambs were $2 to $3 lower. Slaughter ewes, muttons and billies were steady. Spanish kids, nannies and muttons were steady. Slaughter billies were $3 to $5 lower. Trade was active. Demand was good. Supply included around 28% sheep, with near 900 lambs.
