WASHINGTON (B)--Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman told reporters Feb. 7 that he would announce details of the U.S. food aid funding for fiscal 2001 "soon," although he would not say when or how much the U.S. would commit to food aid, including the 416(b) program.

Glickman, speaking during a press conference outlining the proposed U.S. Department of Agriculture fiscal 2001 budget, said he would cover all U.S. food aid. He said the food aid proposals were not made at the same time as the president's budget prposal.
