WASHINGTON (B)--France is forecast to produce 39.45 million tonnes of wheat for the 2000-01 marketing year, up from 37.16 million for 1999-00, according to a U.S. Department of Agriculture attache report filed March 1 and released March 7.
Despite the new larger crop forecast for 2000-01, the attache lowered his prediction for French wheat exports in that marketing year to 19.8 million tonnes from 20.3 million in 1999-00.
