Six Nebraska ag and business associations are sponsoring an Ag Risk Management Meeting Feb. 10 in Grand Island at Central Community College. The meeting is one of six being held statewide in January and February.

John Fecht of the Nebraska Public Service Commission will discuss "Nebraska's Grain Warehouse Bonds and Dealer Bonds: What Transactions Are Covered?" Attorney Paul Peter of the Lincoln firm Keating, O'Gara, Nedved and Peter will explain "Forward Contracts: Producers' Rights and Obligations." Lonnie Wells of Country Hedging, Inc. will present "Marketing in Today's Markets."

The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m., and end at 2:30 p.m. Participation is free and open to all interested persons. Lunch is included and advance registration isn't needed.

Meeting sponsors are the Nebraska Farm Bureau, Corn Growers Association, Soybean Growers Association, Bankers Association, Cooperative Council, and Grain and Feed Association.
