The Ericson-Spalding Livestock Auction, Ericson, NE, reported receipts of 4,400 head Nov. 30, compared with 3,800 head last week and 4,000 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Kearney, NE.

The auction sold spring calves and a light run of yearlings to an active market. Compared to last week, steers under 500 pounds were mostly steady; 550 to 600 pounds, $3 to $4 higher; 600 to 700 pounds, $1 higher. Heifers 400 to 450 pounds were $7 to $9 higher; 450 to 600 pounds, $2 to $4 higher. The supply included 57% steers and 43% heifers. Thirty-five percent of the supply weighed over 600 pounds.
