Receipts at Dodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., totaled 1,412 head of cattle June 7, compared with 1,638 head last week and 2,322 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Dodge City, KS.

Compared with last week, feeder steers 300 to 700 pounds and heifers 300 to 600 pounds were too few for a market test. In a very limited test, feeder steers 700 to 1,000 pounds were firm to $1 higher. Feeder heifers 600 to 1,000 pounds were $2 to $4 higher. Slaughter cows were weak to $1 lower. Slaughter bulls were steady. Trade was active. Demand was good. Receipts included 88% 600 pounds and over, 1% 600 pounds and under and 11% cows and bulls, with 150 head early. Feeder supply included 38% steers and 62% heifers.

Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 to 2, 50.50 to 52.50 (51.13).
