Receipts at Dodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., April 19, totaled 4,115 head of cattle, compared with 6,438 head last week and 5,445 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Dodge City, KS.

Compared with last week, feeder steers 300 to 650 pounds, in a very limited supply of medium and large frame 1, were weak to $4 lower; 650 to 800 pounds, steady; 800 to 1,050 pounds, $1 to $3 higher. Feeder heifers 300 to 700 pounds were weak to $3 lower, few instances steady; 700 to 950 pounds, firm to $1 higher. Slaughter cows were $1 to $2 higher. Slaughter bulls were steady. Trade was active. Demand was good. Receipts included 75% 600 pounds and over, 21% 600 pounds and under and 4% cows and bulls, with 150 head early. Feeder supply included 54% steers and 46% heifers.
