The Cattleman's Livestock Commission Co., Dalhart, TX, reported receipts of 2,934 head of cattle March 10, compared to 1,913 head last week and 3,156 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Amarillo, TX.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers under 700 pounds were steady to $2 higher; over 700 pounds, mostly $2 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Trade was fairly active. Demand was fairly good.

The supply included around 2% slaughter cows and bulls, 55% feeder cattle over 600 pounds and the balance mostly feeder cattle under 600 pounds. The feeder supply consisted of approximately 63% steers and 37% heifers.
