Lane Baldwin, Drury, has been awarded a Curator's Interscholastic Events Scholarship, at the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.

Baldwin, a freshman majoring in agricultural journalism, is the son of David and Jan Baldwin.

The Curator's Interscholastic Events Scholarship is awarded to students who have been active members of FFA for four years and excelled in FFA state contests.

The land-grant college has 1,999 students and offers degrees in 15 disciplines.

"More and more students come to us today in need of financial assistance," said Paul Vaughn, associate dean for academic programs. "We are pleased to offer scholarships of this type, as they enable good students to focus more energy on academics."

The college awards more than $600,000 in scholarships each year. Information on scholarships and the college is available from Associate Dean Paul Vaughn, at 573-882-0089, or from high school counselors.
