The Colorado feeder cattle auction summary for the week ending Feb. 4 totaled 9,927 head, compared to 17,580 head last week and 12,901 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Greeley, CO.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers under 600 pounds were steady to $2 higher. Both classes over 600 pounds were mostly steady. Receipts at area auction markets included nearly 50% steers and 50% heifers. Total supply 60% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large 1, 300 to 316 lbs., 125.00 to 127.00 (126.29); 373 to 395 lbs., 107.44 to 119.83 (114.20); 412 to 428 lbs., 104.63 to 111.72 (107.60); 457 to 484 lbs., 105.47 to 112.56 (108.12); 507 to 531 lbs., 97.50 to 106.22 (103.23); 572 to 590 lbs., 94.37 to 100.76 (97.57); 615 to 638 lbs., 90.38 to 95.82 (92.51); 673 to 686 lbs., 87.00 to 89.45 (88.38); 716 to 725 lbs., 84.98 to 89.11 (86.99); 757 to 780 lbs., 82.66 to 87.79 (84.55); 806 to 835 lbs., 80.48 to 84.63 (82.11).
