The Arkansas weekly livestock summary totaled 12,230 head for the week ending June 22, compared with 11,100 head for the last sale and 16, 700 head one year ago.

Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls were $1 to $3 higher. Feeder steers and heifers were $1 to $4 higher.

Supply consisted of 6,885 head stocker and feeder calves, 3,490 feeder yearlings, 725 replacement cows, 980 slaughter cows, and 150 slaughter bulls.

Slaughter cows: Breakers, 75 to 80% lean over 850 lbs., 39.00 to 45.00. Boners 80 to 85% lean, over 850 lbs., 39.00 to 44.00; high dressing, 44.50 to 50.00. Lean 85 to 90% lean, over 800 lbs., 38.00 to 43.00; high dressing, 43.50 to 48.50; under 800 lbs., 33.00 to 37.00; low dressing and weak cows, 25.00 to 32.00.

Slaughter bulls: Yield Grade 1 to 2, 1000 to 2100 lbs., 51.00 to 57.00; high dressing 57.50 to 63.00; low dressing 43.00 to 50.00.

Cow to Calf Pairs: Medium and few large 1, 2 to 7 year old, 800 to 1100 lb. cows with 100 to 200 lb. calves at side, 650.00 to 800.00 per pair; similar cows with 200 to 350 lb. calves at side, 800.00 to 900.00 per pair. Small and medium 1 to 2, 650 to 850 lb. aged cows with 100 to 200 lb. calves at side, 500.00 to 650.00 per pair.
