Stockman's Livestock, Inc., Apache, OK, reported receipts of 4,211 head of cattle March 11, compared to 3,739 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, OK.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were $1 higher. Stocker steers were $2 to $3 higher. Feeder and stocker heifers were steady. Demand was good for all classes. Quality was mostly average. Weighups were average to full. Feeder cattle were showing some flesh off of the wheat pasture.

Heifers comprised 37% of feeder and calf supply. Slaughter cows and bulls were $1 to $2 higher. A total of 465 head of cows and bulls sold.

Pairs: Medium and large frame 1, 5 to 7 years old, 1025 to 1250 lbs., with 100- to 200-lb. calf, average quality, 700.00 to 800.00.
