The Stockman's Livestock, Inc., Apache, OK, reported receipts of 2,878 head Aug. 12, compared to 3,781 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, OK.

Compared to last week, feeder steers over 600 pounds were $1 to $3 higher. Feeder heifers were steady to $1 higher. Stocker steers were steady to $4 lower, most decline on plain quality. Stocker heifers were steady to $3 lower. Demand was good, quality was average, flesh conditions were moderate to fleshy on the calves. Weigh-ups were mostly full. Heifers comprised 47% of feeder and calf supply. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. A total of 582 head of cows and bulls sold.
