The Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom will present its newly-developed math and science assembly program to some area third, fourth and fifth grade students April 29 and May 1.
Students from Bucklin, Spearville, Sacred Heart School and Beeson School will participate in energetic pricing games similar to "The Price is Right" television show. Students will learn about the changing prices of Kansas crops and will participate in science demonstrations using different samples of wheat and flour. he program promotes pride in Kansas agriculture for youngsters who may have little or no knowledge of how their lives are touched by what is produced on Kansas farms.
This presentation, titled Connecting Kansas Kids, Crops and Critters, is being sponsored by the Ford County Conservation District, with funds donated by many area businesses.
