COB HARVESTER--Vermeer Corporation, Pella, Iowa, introduces a new wagon-style cob collection system that lets farmers harvest corn and cobs simultaneously. The Vermeer CCX770 Cob Harvester is designed to tow immediately behind select corn harvesting combines to collect and unload the cobs. It's easy to attach to the combine, is self-contained and cost-effective. This innovative product can help farms by diversifying their harvest in collecting bio-mass materials for resale or reuse. There are many other uses for corn cobs outside cellulosic ethanol production, such as livestock feed supplement for mixed rations, livestock and pet animal bedding, blending cobs with coal to co-generate electricity, gasification to create several types of energy for industrial processes and other industrial applications including construction materials, abrasives and absorbents. For more information, call a local Vermeer dealer or visit www.vermeerag.com.

TRAILER SPRAYERS--Fast Distributing, Mt. Lake, Minn., introduces its new Model 9600 line of Agricultural Trailer Sprayers. The whole sprayer has been designed around preventing crop damage, productivity and ease of operation. The suspension base has been widened, parallel lift links have been reinforced and quick-lock pivot pins have been added to improve boom ride and increase serviceability. Tanks are available in 1,050 and 1,300 gallon sizes and include a long sloping trough style sump with additional 12-inch dropdown. Boom sizes are available from 60 to 100 feet with the new Flow Back shutoff valves from TeeJet and no-drip nozzle outlets at various spacings.
