Designed for use with tractor loaders, the Bale Handler features heavy-duty UHMW-polyethylene bushings that provide smooth operation of the hook rod assemblies. Other features include five 26-inch long forged spears that are spaced along the bottom of the RBH-4000. These spears help support the bales during pick up and moving. Herbicide is nonselective alternative

U.S. growers now have a nonselective alternative to glyphosate. Bayer CropScience announced new Ignite 280 SL herbicide, for all LibertyLink crops, controls more than 120 broadleaf weeds and grasses, including tough-to-control, ALS- and glyphosate-resistant weeds.

Ignite is registered for use on all LibertyLink crops--FiberMax cotton, InVigor canola, LibertyLink corn, including all Herculex and Agrisure CB/LL hybrids, and new LibertyLink soybeans, which are on target to be available for the 2009 season.

"Ignite is a new, more powerful, cost-effective formulation for use on all LibertyLink crops," says Andy Hurst, Bayer CropScience product manager for Ignite herbicide and herbicide-tolerant traits. "Ignite and the LibertyLink trait allows growers to effectively manage weeds while farming the way they want.

"Plus, it provides growers an excellent means for which to rotate nonselective herbicides to effectively manage weed resistance and preserve the utility of herbicide-tolerant technologies."

With Ignite herbicide and the LibertyLink trait, growers enjoy similar benefits of glyphosate-tolerant systems, and the added benefit of a unique mode of action to combat glyphosate- and ALS-resistant weeds. In addition, growers can continue to farm with less tillage, saving labor and equipment.

Ignite controls weeds in days, not weeks, including Palmer amaranth, marestail, morningglories, woolly cupgrass, velvetleaf, cocklebur, foxtails, ragweeds and waterhemp, along with ALS- and glyphosate-resistant weeds. Globally, there is no documented weed resistance to Ignite.

For best management of weeds, a pre-emergence herbicide and timely applications of Ignite, when weeds are no more than 4 inches tall, are strongly recommended. To further combat resistance, Ignite can be tankmixed with most other crop protection products, including complementary residual herbicides.

Multi-purpose carts prove popular

It's an innovative line of folding multi-purpose utility carts that offers the durability of a standard steel wheelbarrow, and a collapsible design for convenient and easy storage. What sets the Fold-A-Cart, of Santa Barbara, Calif., apart from competitors is its fold-ability and pliable but strong FLEXTRON material tub that allows it to be compacted for easy space-saving storage.

The tub is puncture-resistant, waterproof, flat-bottomed and non-stick for easy cleaning. The Fold-A-Cart easily folds down in seconds to 20 percent of its functional size making it ideal for storage in a garage, car trunk, truck bed, under the stairs, in the compartment under the RV or anywhere. It comes complete with a wall mount bracket for even more convenient storage options.

The Fold-A-Cart's durable design allows for hundreds of uses including carrying garden tools, fertilizer, soil, shrubs, even bales of hay and construction tools and supplies. The Fold-A-Cart's handle height and ergonomic two-wheeled design creates a balance point that provides better stability and maneuverability making it easier to lift with little or no stress, when moving and dumping loads.

The low center of gravity is positioned above the two 10- or 15-inch pneumatic rubber tires (depending on model). This creates a pivot point that makes the Fold-A-Cart incredibly easy to maneuver over any terrain--all without the tippy, back-breaking awkwardness typically found with common wheelbarrows.

The Fold-A Cart product line ranges from the light-duty TFC-150, which hauls a 6 cubic foot capacity and a 150-pound payload, to the heavy duty Contractor Grade, which holds a 9 cubic foot capacity and up to 400 pounds.
